Hi Jiayi, welcome to TD Helps! We're happy to provide you with more information on our Debit Cards.
If you're a U.S. Citizen, in order to open an account with us you'll need one form of primary identification as well as your Social Security number to begin your account. You're welcome to use a valid U.S. Driver's license, State ID, or U.S. Passport.
To determine what type of account you'd like to open, we encourage you to review our Checking Accounts here: http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF, or use our Checking Account Selector here: http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU. Our Savings products are listed here: http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT, or use our Savings Selector Tool at: http://bit.ly/1sxY9Rd. You may use the Open Account button at these links to begin your account application.
If you open your account online, you can make your first deposit using a debit card, credit card (Visa or MasterCard), or routing and account number that you have from another financial institution.
If you'd prefer to open your account by phone, feel free to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to speak with one of our dedicated Customer Service Representatives. They will be more than happy to help you establish your account. If you open the account by phone, your representative will be happy to provide convenient deposit options. You're also welcome to open your new account in person. Please see http://bit.ly/TDStores to search for the convenient TD Bank Store locations near you and you can make a deposit at the same time!
If you're not a U.S. Citizen, but have your Passport from another country of origin, please know that you are still welcome to open an account with us! We ask that you please stop by the nearest TD Store location found through the link above at your earliest convenience to do so. You'll need to bring your foreign Passport as well as a second form of ID from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature - State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature - Foreign Driver's License with Photo - US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date - College ID with Photo - Alien Registration Card with Photo - Permanent Resident Card with Photo
We hope this helps, Jiayi and enjoy your day!
