Thanks for coming to TD Helps for your answers today, Kathleen. We're sorry to hear that your deposit was returned, and we'll be happy to help.
The reason for your deposit return depends on how the deposit was initiated. Typically speaking, if you deposited a check drawn on another account at your local TD Store location, the deposit may have been returned for reasons such as an invalid account number or unavailable funds. However, if you initiated this deposit by completing an external transfer from another financial institution, there could be a few other reasons for your deposit having been returned. In most cases, this is due to an error with the financial institution that was sending the transfer to your new account.
In order to determine the exact reasoning behind your deposit return, we ask that you contact us directly. You may call and speak with a Banking Specialist at 1-888-751-9000, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You may also visit a TD Store location during lobby hours. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
In addition, if you are enrolled in Online Banking, you may send a secure message using www.tdbank.com. To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You may do so by clicking here: http://go.td.com/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We can generally respond within 24 hours or less.
We also notice that you're writing into us from Grafton, and that you may be contacting us from Canada. If that is the case, please note that you have reached the U.S. side of TD Bank, and we recommend contacting TD Canada Trust directly. A TD Canada Trust Customer Service Specialist may be reached at 1-866-222-3456, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to calling, we have provided a link here https://go.td.com/1woOVay with all the additional options you have when wanting to contact TD Canada Trust.
We hope this information was helpful, Kathleen. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions, and we hope you have a great day!

Hey could it be that my other account had a different address
June 9, 2017 09:56:14 AM
Welcome back, Kathleen.
If you noticed that your new account didn't open as expected and the funds were returned to your original account, it's possible that different verification info from you could affect this process. We apologize that we can't review your account from here though, so for specific information we kindly ask that you contact us directly to determine why the transfer was returned. We recommend using the contact methods for TD Bank or TD Canada Trust mentioned above to connect with a Specialist.
Keep in mind that TD Helps is considered an unsecured forum. Because of this, we do not have access to your account/personal information to confirm why your deposit was unsuccessful. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We hope to hear from you soon, Kathleen. Have a good day.
