Thanks for coming to TD Helps with your question, Sam! We'll be happy to guide you in the right direction.
As you have your accounts with TD Canada Trust, please click here: http://bit.ly/126NDHv to review a similar question that was answered by our friend Chris. If you need other assistance with your accounts there, feel free to reach out to them 24/7 at 866-222-3456, or post a new question you may have here: http://bit.ly/1kD3iFr.
We'd also like to let you know that TD Bank U.S. is affiliated with TD Canada Trust; however, we are separate banks as we're located in different countries. Although you won't be able to transfer your TD Canada Trust accounts to TD Bank US, you can definitely take advantage of our Cross Border Banking options! We invite you to check out http://bit.ly/1ienPN4 as this can provide you with some information regarding our Cross Border Banking services.
You're welcome to set up an account with TD Bank in the US; and once your new Checking account is open with us, you can transfer funds between your TD Bank US and TD Canada Trust accounts, free of charge. If you wish to, please feel free to speak with a Representative from our TD Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 by calling 877-700-2913, who can answer any questions you may have regarding these services.
We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any questions, Sam. Take care.
