Thanks for opening this account with us, Kevin! Great question and we'll be happy to discuss this with you.
With a savings account, we are able to provide ATM-only cards for access at any TD Bank ATM or any ATM bearing the NYCE logo. Kindly keep in mind that these types of cards won't be able to be used for purchases, as Visa Debit cards can be issued with our checking account products only.
With that being said, since you mentioned that your son is 14 years of age, you may want to consider our TD Go Card. This is a reloadable prepaid Visa card, designed specifically for our teen customers! You're welcome to view some helpful information about our TD Go Card right here: http://bit.ly/1j8sgt2. Your son would be able to make purchases anywhere Visa is accepted, and you'll be able to monitor his spending and load funds to his card online. For more information, you might also like to check out our Go Card Frequently Asked Questions here: http://bit.ly/1gRpCay, and the Go Card Terms & Conditions can be found here: http://bit.ly/1eSK0Du as well as the Account Guide here: http://bit.ly/1zrVD2w.
Hope this is helpful to your family, Kevin! Thanks again for choosing TD and enjoy the rest of your week.
