Hi, I opened a convenience checking and a simple savings account online this weekend. I made the minimum deposits into each account, ordered checks for the checking account, and later received two emails (one for each account) stating that my deposits were processed. However, as of now I do not know the status of my accounts. Are they officially open? If so, I don't know how to access them. Will I be receiving a debit card for the checking account?
I tried to set up online account access for these accounts but the system is telling me I need my debit card to do that? Does that mean I cannot access my accounts online until I receive the debit card?

Thank you for stopping by TD Helps, Scott and welcome to the TD family! We'll be glad to assist you with your questions regarding your new accounts.
During the account opening process, you do have an option to receive a debit card for your accounts. If you're unsure if you've opted to receive one, please give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visit us at any TD Bank during lobby hours. Once our Banking Specialists verify your account information, they'll be able to determine if a debit card is being mailed to you and issue you a debit card if one is not being sent to you. If a debit card is being mailed to you, it will arrive in a plain white envelope within 7-10 business days; depending on your postal service. Click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
If you decide to visit us, our Banking Specialists can create a debit card for you in minutes! Also, our Banking Specialists can close the duplicate debit card, if applicable, for you as well.
We'd also like to point out that you can be enrolled in online banking without having a debit card. Just give us a call at the telephone number listed above or visit us at any TD Bank during lobby hours.
While you're on the phone with us or at a TD Store in person, we'll be glad to verify your account status after proper account verification.
We hope this information is useful to you and let us know if you have any additional questions, Scott. Take care and have a great week!
