We are happy to inform you that you do not need to make an initial deposit prior to activating your new TD Debit Card.
If you received your new TD Debit Card via mail, you will also receive a separate mailing with a temporary PIN in it approximately 1-2 business days later; this is mailed separately for security of your account. Once you have both pieces, you can call 888-553-4122, 24/7 to activate your new debit card by phone. Using the full card number and the temporary PIN from the second mailing, you can activate the card and then setup a new PIN to use for making purchases or using the ATM machine.
If you experience any difficulties while activating your card, no worries. If you have not made your initial deposit, please feel free to visit us during lobby hours and we'd be happy to help!
