There are many ways you can access your account while not in the United States. We offer Online and Mobile Banking services, which allow you to access your account 24/7. You can make deposits to your account by using TD Bank Mobile Deposit. TD Bank Mobile Deposit is available for most iPhone and Android devices and to customers of at least 90 days or longer with an active checking, savings or money market account. You can also bank with live telephone support 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year by calling our collect number 207-753-5642 from a land line.
If you decide to close your account please contact customer service using the same number as listed above from a land line. The account must be a personal account and the account balance must be at zero. There are a couple of ways you can draw down your account to a zero balance. If you have checks available you can write yourself a check for the exact amount in your account. Another option you may want to consider is using our online bill pay to send a check to a company or yourself. We also offer an external transfer option online that will allow you to transfer the funds to an account at another financial institution. Also make sure all direct deposits, ACH withdrawals, automatic (recurring) bill payments, outstanding checks, ATM/debit card transactions and online balance alerts and automatic (recurring) bill payments (if applicable) have been stopped or cancelled to prevent delays. If there are any pending transactions we cannot close the account.
