If the account was charged off due to negative balance, you may pay off the balance owed first. Once the account is paid off, you can request to open a new account with TD Bank. Please note that closed accounts cannot be re-opened regardless of the reasons for closing.
You have a couple of options to pay off the overdrawn balance. You may contact our Recovery Department to make payment arrangements; they may be reached Monday through Friday 8 am-9 pm and Saturday 8 am-5 pm at 800-742-2651.You may also visit your local TD Bank Store during the lobby hours to make the payments. You can request to open a new account with TD Bank once the overdrawn balance has been paid off. Additionally, you are welcome to stop by your nearest TD Bank store to speak with a banking specialist regarding new account options to determine what product type fits you the best. You will need to bring a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number.
