Borrowing & Managing Your Credit
In reply to Martin, Union, NJ
Thanks for connecting with us, Martin and congratulations on your move! We'll be more than happy to help you register your car in your new State.
If your vehicle loan is with TD Bank and you're still in the process of paying the loan, we'll be able to provide the title information to your insurance agent, who can help you to register the car in Florida.
In order to accomplish this, you're welcome to fax a request to our Collateral Department at 207-753-3746. Please include the following:
-Your auto loan account number
-Your request for a copy of the title for registration purposes
The title information will then be provided to your insurance agent on file, who can help you get set up.
Please note that if you have changed your insurance carrier and you haven't yet provided this information to TD Bank, you'll want to update this first. To update your insurance info, please fax your new insurance information to our Consumer Research Department at 207-755-4403. Please note that a 3-5 business day turnaround time can be expected. After this is set up, you can then place your request for the title as above.
For any questions with this process or regarding your auto loan in general, feel free to call one of our Financial Solutions Group Specialists 24/7 at 800-937-5020.
Please also keep in mind that if your auto loan is currently held with TD Auto Finance, you'll want to contact them for the procedure to register your car in another state. TD Auto Finance Representatives are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, and Saturday, 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, at 1-800-556-8172 to help you.
We hope these instructions are useful, Martin! We appreciate your visit and welcome you again anytime. Take care.
