I was hacked into my computer and these people came on to fix it. It took a few hours and then they wanted to be paid $149.99 which I gladly. I was told this morning by a friend that it was probably a scam. I wanted to check. Thank you.

In reply to June, Thomaston
We understand your concern, June and we'd be glad to point you in the right direction.
Please know that at this time we are unable to place stop payments on transactions made with your Debit Card. Don't worry, we do have options for you.
If the transaction was made by using your Debit Card (the card linked to your Checking account), and it is currently in a Pending status, in order to have the funds released, the vendor may fax a letter to us on their letterhead to the attention of Fulfillment at 856-533-1138. They need to include the following:
1. Date of authorization
2. Your full Debit Card number
3. The exact amount debited
4. A brief statement from a representative expressing that they authorize the hold to be released, and their signature.
If the transaction has already been posted to your account, you may contact the merchant directly to determine if the transaction can be refunded. Please note that if the transaction is recurring, you'll want to contact the company directly to prevent any future debits as well.
Please understand that even though we would like to help you directly, because TD Helps is considered an unsecured forum, we do not have access to your personal account information. We do ask that you contact us directly at 888-751-9000, available 24/7. After you connect with our Specialists, we would be happy to look into this further for you and provide any other options.
You are also able to visit any TD Store for assistance. To take a look at TD Stores near you please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this information helps and have a good day.
