Thank you for submitting your inquiry on TD Helps, William.
Based on the message we received from you, it sounds like your TD account is currently in dormant status. A dormant account is turned over to the state after 5 years (DE, VA, FL, NH, NC & SC) or 3 years (PA, NJ, NY, CT, DC, MD, ME, MA, RI & VT) if the Bank is not able to make contact with the Customer. When an account becomes dormant, a letter is sent to the Customer informing them of the account status change and the necessary steps to take to reactivate their account and/or prevent the account from escheating to the State.
If you have not yet visited your local TD Bank Store in person, please do so as early as possible to make a physical deposit or withdraw. To find out the nearest TD Store near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We thank you again for writing in, William. Hope to see you at our Store soon!
