I moved from Canada and they tell me I have no credit history. I thought TD used the canadian credit history to make a decision on these matters. I got a credit card from Royal bank in this manner and wanted to get a second card.

If you were a resident of Canada and also have a US Residential Street address within the TD footprint, you're welcome to begin an application for a U.S. Visa Credit Card here: http://bit.ly/1rrPVGd. Please note that if your Social Insurance Number and prior Canadian contact info is provided on the application, your Canadian credit history will be used as part of the application process, or, if your U.S. Social Security number is provided your U.S. credit history can be used.
