I'm moving into a new house and I need to change my billing address for my debit card. Last night, I called customer service and they updated my billing address for me and told me that it could take up until the next morning to be effective in the system. The next day I wanted to change my address for USPS and I gave them the billing address which is the new billing address that I just updated and it said "invalid billing address for this debit card". I'm just wondering how long it will take for the new billing address will be updated in the system so I can forward my mail to the new address.

As you have already submitted your address change request, it normally would go in effect within 2-3 business days. If the timeframe has passed, please feel free to contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 and one of our friendly Banking Specialists will be more than happy to correct the address for your debit card.

I moved over a year ago and made sure to change my address at the bank. I'm still getting errors when I try to process payment and I have to use my old address to allow transactions to process. How do I change the billing address on my checking account?

We apologize that you're having so much trouble updating your address, and we'll be more than happy to help.
When looking to update your personal information, such as your address, phone number, or email, you have a couple different ways in which you may do so.
First, you're welcome to make these changes on your own through your Personal Online Banking, which you can access from here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. If you haven't yet enrolled in online banking, you may start the enrollment process by using this link: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. To fully enroll, you will need your account number, debit card number, a valid email address, and your Social Security Number.
Once you're able to access your online banking, you'll next want to click on the 'Customer Service' tab, which you can find towards the top, right hand side of your screen. From here, under the 'Update Profile and Preferences' section, you'll next want to click on the blue 'Contact Info' hyperlink. By doing so, you'll have access to update your personal information, and select the accounts you wish to have this change reflect.
If you have any trouble updating your address through your Personal Online Banking, or if you'd prefer to speak with a Specialist to make this change, you may call 1-888-751-9000 to connect with a Banking Specialist, 24/7, or you may also visit your nearest TD Store location.
