At this time, wire transfers can only be completed by visiting a TD Store for security reasons. We recommend checking with your financial institution in Scotland for a couple solutions. You may be able to schedule an ACH or direct debit from your TD account via your new financial institution's services. If you have TD checks for your account, you can also write a check for the remaining balance of your account and make a deposit. Please note that the check will be subject to your institution's foreign check policies.
Keep in mind that TD makes it easy to bank while you're away! Your TD VISA Debit card can be used anywhere you see the VISA or PLUS logos to make transactions and withdraws. You can also continue to utilize Online and Mobile Banking even though you are overseas. If you are not enrolled for online banking, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY . You will need your Social Security number, TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number, and your e-mail address. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
Since you are now overseas, we recommend contacting us to place a notification on your account and update your address. You can do so by calling our Customer Service Line 24/7 at 856-751-9000 or call collect from an international phone by dialing 215-569-0518. You can also update your address by using Online Banking. You can update your information while signed in by following the steps listed.
· Click on the Customer Service tab
· Select "Change Address, Phone, E-mail Address" link
· Select the desired bank account(s) from the list shown
· Enter your new information into the corresponding text boxes
· Click the "Submit Change" request button
A confirmation screen will appear indicating the changes that will be made to your contact information.
