Thank you for opening a new Checking account with TD Bank, Maureen.
The standard daily ATM Visa/Debit card limits are listed in the Personal Deposit Account Agreements. Funds availability may be limited by factors such as your current available balance or a predetermined authorized daily limit established at your request. For standard daily withdrawal limits for your TD Bank ATM Debit card, please check our Personal Account Agreement http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (pgs. 43-44).
Since you are traveling overseas there are a few things we would like to share with you.
When traveling, you can make an ATM withdrawal from any ATM machine that displays the VISA or PLUS logo all over the world. However, please be sure to carry more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. Please note; fees may apply when using a non-TD ATM. We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your ATM debit card out of the country.
We'd also like to share with you a few tips to manage your money when traveling, please check out: http://bit.ly/1fO8wKy, you may also want to review our international travel tips frequently asked questions by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1ltwDDc.
Additionally, to avoid any interruptions to your TD ATM Debit Card usage, we recommend placing Travel Notifications on your account(s). If you have not already done so, you can do so by calling our 24/7 Customer Service Line at 888-751-9000. If you're setup for online banking, another option would be sending a secured message using www.tdbank.com and requesting Travel Notifications to be added to your account(s). To send a secured message, you must first log on to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. After you log in, on the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center”. Please be sure to provide your travel dates and destinations in your message.
By placing a travel notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set.
If you are not set up for Online Banking, please visit here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Keep in mind that you will need your account number, Social Security number and ATM/debit card handy to complete the enrollment process. If you do not have the required information to set up for Online Banking or you need assistance enrolling, you may contact us at the number listed above. Upon proper account verification, we would be happy to help get you started.
Additionally, if you need to call us while you're outside the United States you may do so by dialing 856-751-9000 or collect with operator's assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 215-569-0518.
Hope this helps and have a nice trip!
