underneath and my name and address in the top left corner, so is this a chech that i can cash for myself and it has my banks name on it what is this check and what do I do with it

From your description it sounds like it may be Bill Pay check sent through your online banking.
If you have recently set up a payment to American Express using our Bill Pay service, it may have been sent to you rather than to American Express. Often times when this happens it is due to our Customer's address being entered into the payee's address field in error.
If this is the case, we recommend simply destroying this check as it should not have been deducted from your account yet. We then encourage you to edit your payee in Bill Pay so that future payments go to them directly. To do this, first log into your online banking by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Click on the “Bill Pay” tab located at the top of your screen. Then select 'Activity' next to American Express, followed by the 'Details' link also next to the biller's name. Make the appropriate changes to the address, click the 'Save Changes' button, and then 'Finish'.
