I returned an item at the bay over a month ago, everything was approved and I have the proof. It is still yet to show up on my visa account as a credit back to me. In reply to Caitriona, Aurora
Good morning, Caitriona.
We appreciate you bringing your concerns to TD Helps today.
We apologize that you're experiencing an issue with having a merchant credit issued to your account, and we'll be happy to clear up any confusion.
We'd first like to take a moment to explain that when a credit is issued to either your TD Bank Debit or Credit Card, that refund is issued by the merchant. Generally speaking, a merchant credit will be issued anywhere from 7-10 business days, but this time frame can vary depending on the merchant. Additionally, we'd also like to explain that when credits are issued, they are issued directly by the merchant, and once received, will post to your account immediately. Because of this, if you have yet to receive an expected refund, we recommend reaching out to the creditor directly.
In the event that the merchant is still unable to assist you with this refund, or if you would prefer to go over your account with one of our Specialists, we invite you to connect with us directly. Banking Specialists can be reached by simply dialing 1-888-751-9000, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If the transaction you are attempting to receive a refund for has already posted to your account, and the merchant is unable to assist you, you may speak with one of our Specialists in regard to filing a merchant dispute.
In addition to calling, you may also speak with a Customer Service Representative in regard to your account or dispute. Customer Service Representatives are here to help at any number of our Store locations, during lobby hours, and you may use the link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR to find your nearest Store location, as well as their lobby hours and contact information.
We also noticed that you're contacting us today from Aurora, a town located in Ontario, CA. Just in case you may be contacting us in regard to an account you have with TD Canada Trust, please know that you are currently speaking with TD Bank. While we both may share the same TD shield, please understand that we are different entities, and if this is the case, we'd like to recommend that you connect with TD Canada Trust directly.
We have provided a link here https://go.td.com/1woOVay with all the options that you have when wanting to contact TD Canada Trust or you may simply connect with a live Customer Service Specialist by dialing 1-866-222-3456. Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will be more than happy to further assist you with any questions you may have.
We hope this clears up any confusion you may be experiencing, Caitriona.
Take care, and have a great weekend.
