If you've opened the account through our website www.tdbank.com and made an initial transfer online, it can take up to five business days for that transfer to be complete. Also, if you're a new-to-bank Customer, then you will receive a signature page in the mail shortly that you'll have to sign and return before you can use the account.
If you'd like to activate the account and start using it immediately, please stop by your nearest TD Store to complete the signature page and make your additional deposit. You'll be able to receive an instant-issue VISA Debit Card that you can use as soon as you leave! You can find the nearest Store location here: http://bit.ly/TDStores. Just stop by during lobby hours and you can make your deposit, sign your signature page, and walk out with the card! Once at the Store, if you have already ordered a new debit card online that is currently being mailed, please ask the Store representative to close it since it will no longer be useful once you activate the card you will receive at the Store.
