Thank you for reaching out to us on TD Helps, Kevin.
The safety of your account is very important to us and for your protection we have issued new cards as a result of the recent security breach experienced by Home Depot. We understand your concern and invite you to contact us at 888-751-9000 to speak with a Specialist. After account verification, our Specialist would be happy to help and confirm the new debit card with you. As always, you can also visit your local TD Store for assistance. For a complete listing of our locations and lobby hours, you can visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Once we have eased your mind and have confirmed the new card you received is in fact from TD Bank, you can activate it by calling the number provided (888-533-4122) and destroy the old card. Please note, after activation of the new card occurs, the old card will be closed within 24 hours. If you prefer, you always have the option of stopping by your local TD Bank to request a new card. Our Stores are equipped with the ability to give you a new permanent debit card right there on the spot.
Please notify the merchants with whom you have recurring payments (like a phone bill or a gym membership) of your new card information.
We invite you to take a look at our Security Center page here: http://bit.ly/1npPddy or to give us a call anytime to review your account or answer any other questions you may have. You can reach us 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
We hope this helps, Kevin. Please do not hesitate to write back if you have any further questions.
