Thanks for getting in touch with us and we apologize for the confusion, Patti! We'll be glad to clear this up for you.
Kindly note that if you choose to place your check order online, when doing so you will be redirected to the Harland Clark website, which is the company who provides checks for TD Bank.
If you have one of our accounts which offers a fee waiver on checks, such as our 50 Plus Checking (which is no longer for sale) or 60 Plus Checking, then you would be eligible for a free order of standard TD Bank checks.
We can recommend that you ensure you have this type of account, or another account which waives the fee for check orders, by giving us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000, or by viewing your TD Online Banking account here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. Once you log in, the type of account you have is listed next to your account number on the Accounts page/tab. This link may also be helpful for you once you determine the type of account you have: http://bit.ly/19CmhcO. Use the "View Details" links to see if the account includes free checks. Please keep in mind that if you don't have an account which offers free standard checks, you won't be eligible to receive them even if you are 50 years of age or older.
When you're ready to place the order, there are a few other ways that you can order new checks. You can visit any TD Bank location during lobby hours, or contact our 24/7 Customer Service line at the number listed above if you would like assistance.
If you will be ordering these yourself online, to do so, log in at the link above and click the Customer Service tab. Then, use the Order Checks link to complete your request. Please be sure to select standard TD Bank checks as well as standard shipping to ensure that there will be no cost. Kindly note that "Check Protect" is an optional service and does not come free of charge with your free checks.
We hope this clarifies your question, Patti. Let us know about any other questions and enjoy your Saturday!
