Thanks for writing in today, Dennis.
We're sorry to hear you are having difficulties using the automated Bank-by-Phone (IVR) system. We would be glad to explain the steps on using this system.
You may check your account via our automated Bank-by-Phone (IVR) system at 888-751-9000. The first time you call, it will prompt you to enter either your account number or your TD Bank VISA Debit Card number. After that, it will ask you to confirm the last 4 digits of your Social Security number. After entering your SSN upon first use, the system will then ask you to create a unique 4 digit Phone Code to use for future access through the IVR system. This Phone Code will replace your old Bank-by-Phone PIN and is independent of the PIN associated with your VISA Debit Card.
Please keep in mind that the automated system may ask for the last four numbers of your Social Security number if you're inquiring about a joint account.
If you have any questions about the automated system, you can select "0" to reach a live Representative when you dial the telephone number listed above. Our Representatives are available 24/7 to answer any banking questions you may have. You may also visit a TD Store during lobby hours for assistance. For Store locations and their hours please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores .
Let us know if you have any other questions and have a nice day.
