Welcome to TD Helps and thank you for reaching out to us, Chantal.
You have multiple options on how to open a TD Bank account, depending on how your previous account was closed.
If you personally closed your account with a zero balance at the time of the request, you may either:
1. Apply online for a checking, savings, money market account or certificate of deposit (CD) by visiting this link http://bit.ly/1hpjw0I.
2. Call Live Customer Service 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to apply by phone.
3. Or visit your local TD Bank http://bit.ly/TDStores
However, if your account was charged off, you must contact our Recovery Department at 800-742-2651 to make payment arrangements, or visit your local TD Bank Store, prior to opening a new account. Closed accounts cannot be re-opened regardless of the reasons for closing it; and business accounts can only be opened at the Store.
Thank you for considering us again, Chantal, we hope to have answered your question today. Have a lovely day!
