Welcome to TD Helps today, Jayme. We're glad to point you in the right direction today.
We'd like to reassure you that in the event of any trouble with a merchant, we're here to assist you.
First, since you wrote in that you originally had business with the merchant, to dispute any charge they made to your account, you'll want to give them a call to determine if they'll refund you. We recommend to check with the merchant for the possibility of a resolution before filing a claim with TD Bank.
Once you attempt to resolve this with them, if they are unable or unwilling to provide a refund you can then dispute the item with us. If the charge was made via your TD Visa Debit card, to do so, you're welcome to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000, or stop in at any TD Bank Store found here http://bit.ly/TDStores for assistance. When filing a claim, we recommend taking note of who you may have spoken with, the date, and any other information that may be relevant so that we can include it on your claim.
Thanks for reaching out, Jayme and take care!
