Thank you for considering another account with TD Bank, James.
As you have a charged off account previously with us, we recommend paying off the overdrawn balance first prior opening your new joint account.
To better assist you, please connect with our Recovery Department Team at 800-742-2651, available Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM -5:00 PM. Once you are on the phone with them, they can confirm the exact amount you owed and also provide you with payment options. You may also obtain the same information by visiting us at any TD Store during lobby hours. To find a TD Store near you, please check out: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Once your previous account is paid off, you're more than welcome to open a joint account with us. Please know that both parties must be present at the time of the account opening and can visit us at any TD Bank Store, during lobby hours. Also, both parties, including you, please bring the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number.
