I just opened an account online and want to add my husband. I don't live near a branch. How can I do this online? or by mail? or by phone?

To add a signer to an existing TD Checking or Savings account, both the account holder(s) and prospective signers would have to visit a TD Store to speak with a Representative in person. Adding a signer cannot be completed online or by phone at this time for security reasons and we apologize if this causes any inconvenience.
Please make sure to bring proper identification (Driver's License, State issued photo ID, Passport, etc.) and Social Security number.
To take a look at TD Stores near you and their hours please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores. You are also able to make an appointment at a location near you by calling us 24/7 at 888-751-9000. Our Representatives will be happy to set a date for you and your new signer.
We appreciate your visit, Tammy and take care.

Do both the existing TD account holder and prospective signers have to go at the same time to the same TD store?
