Thanks so much for including us in your travel preparations. Mexico sounds fantastic!
Since you plan to travel, we recommend contacting us with your travel information to prevent any decline to your cards while you're away. You can do so by calling our Customer Service Line 24/7 at 888-751-9000, and we will be happy to place your travel notification. We'd like to help and apologize that we can't place your note from here, since we don't have access to your account information on this unsecured forum.
Another easy way to set a travel notification is to send us a Secure Message from your TD Bank Online Banking account. You can log in here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq and the send us a secure message by clicking on the Customer Service tab, and using the Send a Message link. Please include your exact travel dates, destinations, and any connecting flight information if applicable.
Please keep in mind that a travel notification helps us recognize unauthorized transactions on your account. For your protection, we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For more travel tips while overseas, please visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu. TD Bank does not charge any foreign transactions fees for purchases made with your TD Bank Visa debit card at this time. We would like to take the opportunity to advise you about fees that can be incurred while using international ATMs.
Each withdrawal, transfer, and balance inquiry made at an ATM not owned by TD is subject to a $3.00 fee at this time, which is charged by TD Bank the same day the transaction is made (subject to change). This may be in addition to any fee assessed by the owner of the ATM or network, and may include fees for both withdrawals and balance inquiries. Our fee schedule is available at the link below.
Depending on the type of account you have with us, your non-TD ATM fees may be reimbursed with a $2500.00 daily minimum balance. Please check out: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt for information about the type of accounts needed to avoid a non-TD ATM fee.
If you have one of these account types, we suggest keeping your foreign ATM transaction receipts. We want to make sure you are properly reimbursed for your fees! If your non-TD ATM fees are not automatically refunded to you, you can take these receipts to your local TD Bank store within 90 days for an immediate credit.
If you use any ATM in a foreign country, you may also incur international, currency exchange and usage fees regardless of the type of account you have at TD Bank. Please refer to http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (pg. 45) for more information about the type of fees to expect.
If you would like to use your TD Bank Visa Credit Card while traveling, please call 888-561-8861 to place your travel notification 24/7 with a TD Card Services Representative.
Once you are in Mexico, should you need to reach us for any reason you can send us a secure Message as indicated above or you can call us from outside the United States via phone at 1-856-751-9000, or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518. For your credit card, you can get in touch with TD Bank Card Services from an international location using the toll-free collect number 706-644-3266.
Wishing you a safe and fun trip, Wendy!
