Good morning, Denise, and welcome to TD Helps!
It's great to hear that you're looking to make a purchase with your TD Bank VISA Debit Card, and we'll be more than happy to help.
Before we begin, we'd like to apologize for any confusion, and take a moment to explain that while you are able to receive a TD Bank ATM Card for your Savings account, this card type can only be used to make ATM withdrawals, and unfortunately cannot be used to make purchases with merchants either in person or online.
Here at TD Bank, we offer VISA Debit Cards, which can be used for this purpose. Please know that while you are able to link a Savings account and Checking account to a VISA Debit Card, at this time, any transaction that is initiated using the card will be debited from your Checking account.
If you already have a Checking account which is linked to a TD Bank VISA Debit Card, we recommend performing a transfer from your Savings account to your Checking account, and then using your card to purchase your tickets. If you don’t have a Checking account to link to a debit card, you're more than welcome to check out the link here: https://go.td.com/2eQORxu for more information on the current Checking accounts that we offer!
Should you decide you'd like to open an account with us, feel free to use the orange 'Open Account' button below the account of your choosing to start the application process. You also have the option of calling 1-888-751-9000, 24/7, to speak with a Banking Specialist in regard to opening a new account, or visiting your nearest TD Store location. To find your nearest TD Store location, as well as their lobby hours, feel free to use this link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR. Once you arrive, a Customer Service Representative will be happy to help!
Once your account is open, or if you already have an account and would like to obtain a debit card, you're welcome to connect with us by either calling the number above, or using the link we have previously provided to find your nearest TD Store location. Our Representatives will be happy to help you with ordering a debit card, regardless of the method you choose.
We sincerely hope this clears up any confusion, Denise! Enjoy the rest of your day, and have an amazing Wednesday!
