Welcome to TD Helps, John. We'd be happy to show you how to make changes to your TD Bank Checking accounts.
You may call us 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000 and speak with one of our Customer Service Representatives, who can assist you in changing your TD Bank Checking account. After verification, we will be able to change your account from the TD Simple Checking account to TD Convenience Checking account. It may take up to 2 business days for any changes made to your account to take effect. If your account is at a $0 balance and has no pending transactions, we will be able to close your account down. It will also take up to 2-3 business days for your account to be closed.
You may also request to have your account changed through our TD Online Banking. You will need to log in and send a secured message with your request. Secure messages are located under our Customer Service tab, after you have logged in. All secure messages are routinely responded to within 24 hours.
If you don't have our Online Banking, we can help you get set up. If you have an ATM/Debit Card and Social Security number you may fill out the online application to access your personal account(s). Please visit http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to enroll for TD Bank Online Banking. Once there, you will need to choose Personal from the drop down box. Signing up for TD Bank Online is quick and easy – allowing you to view your accounts in just three simple steps! First, you'll have to accept the Online Banking Agreement. Then, we'll ask you to enter in your personal information (Name, Social Security number, account number, etc.) and finally, you will have to set up three security questions. After those 3 steps are completed, you will have immediate access to your account(s) online.
You may also change and close your accounts at any of our TD Bank locations. You will need to stop in and speak with one of our Customer Service Representatives and make sure to bring in photo Identification (State I.D., Driver's License or a Passport). Follow http://bit.ly/TDStores to find TD Bank locations.
We hope this helps John. Have a wonderful day!
