Please keep in mind that at this time, we ask that the account you are looking to close reflects a zero balance with no pending transactions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Once the pending transaction has been presented for payment and your balance shows zero dollars, you may than wish to close the account and we'd be glad to provide the many ways available to do so.
Your first option is to contact us directly at 1-888-751-9000. After account verification, our Banking Specialists would be happy to help.
Another way to request to close your Account is to send us a secure message via your TD Online Banking. In order to send a secure message you must first be enrolled in Online Banking and to start the process, please visit here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Keep in mind that you will need your account number, ATM/Visa Debit Card number and email address. Once enrolled, you may send a secure message by selecting "Send a secure message" located on the left hand side of the page, beneath "Message Center." If you need further assistance with the Online Banking enrollment process, please do not hesitate to contact our Banking Specialists at the number provided above, available 24/7.
Please allow approximately 3-5 business days for your request to be completed if you are requesting to close your account via the telephone or secure message.

Actually I want to know how long it will take for this pending transaction to be clear,because i ordered shoes on Friday (08/29),but my money are still pending if i call can the bank tell me when this transaction will be clear,because i will go back to my country and i have to close my account after week!!!

When a purchase is made by using a TD Visa debit card, the merchant will automatically set up an expiration date for this transaction. Therefore, this pending transaction will be posted to your account once the final receipt is presented for payment to TD by the merchant. Generally speaking, it may take between 3-5 business days.

So,today I saw that my pending transaction is clear,but I have another one for 0.00$.The description is (Vans authorization pending),I purchased from Vans.This happens for first time to me how i can have pending transaction for 0.00$.So now I have to wait again something or what?

We would like to inform you that typically a merchant will verify if the Debit Card is valid by issuing a transaction of $0.00. We recommend monitoring your account until the transaction has cleared or is no longer appearing on your account.
