I want to close my account as I have moved to California and there are no branches here, but my account now has a negative balance from an overdraft. Can I pay the account with another card and close it, since I can't deposit and zero my account at a branch?

We're sorry to hear that you'd like to close your account, Chelsea. We understand that banking needs change and we'd be glad to help.
Please know that in order to close an account, the balance must be $0.00. As you mentioned that your account is currently overdrawn, we ask that you resolve your balance so you're able to close your account. To do this, you are certainly able to initiate a transfer from another institution you may have.
Once your balance is $0.00, you are able to contact our Banking Specialists 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 or by sending a secure message. To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://go.td.com/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." They will be glad to help you finalize your account and review any questions you may have.
We hope this information helps, Chelsea. Have a good day.
