If you would like to close your account, we respect your decision. There are several options for you and we'd be glad to go over those options with you.
If you still have funds in the account, before requesting to close your account, please bring your account to a zero balance. You may use your debit card or write a personal check for the remaining balance. Once your balance reaches zero, you can visit any TD Bank Store, call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or send a secured message to have a Banking Specialist close your account. If you're not currently enrolled for Online Banking, you may do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Please have your account number, debit card number and Social Security number available. If you have any trouble signing up, please contact our Banking Specialists, 24/7 at the telephone number listed above. To send a secured message, please sign into your account and select "Send a message"; which is located underneath the Message Center on the left hand side of the page.
If you are unable to zero out the balance or prefer to receive a check from TD Bank, you can request your account to be closed via mail. Please mail your written, signed, and notarized request to:
