Hi Theresa, it's great to have you join us on TD Helps today.
We'd like to let you know that you can make a deposit at any TD Bank with a check or money order. The item must be made payable to the individual/company and “for deposit only” should be written on the back of the check in the endorsement field. As you state that the deposit is intended for someone else's account, we suggest that the deposit be made with a Teller in the lobby. Feel free to look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you. Please know that TD does not assess any fees for making a deposit into any one of our accounts.
Although we do not recommend that any Customer provide their TD account number to someone who is not an Authorized Signer on their account, please know that the correct TD account number will need to be confirmed at the time of deposit. If this is not possible, we recommend reaching out to your landlord to discuss alternate payment methods for your rent.
If you have a Direct Express benefits card, you may use it at any one of our ATMs to deduct the funds (as with any other Visa, MasterCard, or Discover cards). Please know that ATM fees may apply and for details we invite you to check out our Fee Schedule here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. Larger withdrawals up to $5,000 may also be processed with one of our Tellers during lobby hours. We recommend contacting your card issuer however to inquire about any fees to do this as well as any ATM/cash advance limits with your card.
Let us know if you have any other questions and have a great day!
