I want to help out a friend who doesn't receive direct deposit and is being charged a bank fee from another bank. I tried to convince them to change banks but it isn't working. Is there a way for me to deposit them money so it appears as a direct deposit in their account and not as just extra money. It has to have the ACH in the description or the equivalent.

We appreciate your visit today, Yury! It's our pleasure to help.
Here at TD Bank, we make transferring funds to another account holder hassle free! We'll be happy to offer some transfer options. Please note that since your friend has another financial institution, we are unable to see how the transfer or deposit would be listed on their account. They would need to speak to their financial institution directly in regard to how it would appear.
You first have the option of utilizing our online transfer feature. Send Money is a totally free service for Person-to-Person transfers! The two delivery options are available through either your TDBank.com online account or via the TD Bank Mobile app.
Instant option – this convenient choice sends funds to the recipient immediately! A TD Debit Card linked to your account is required for this option. The transactions done this way are counted toward your daily Debit Card limits.
There is also an optional 3-Day Transfer- no Debit Card is required for this choice.
It's easy to sign up for Send Money with the steps below! Note- it will be necessary to re-enroll if you used our previous 3rd party Person-to-Person provider.
To start, you'll first want to log into your Online Banking or Mobile Application. Feel free to use the link here https://go.td.com/1eaISlq to do so. If you're not yet enrolled in Online Banking, don't worry! You may enroll by using the link here https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security Number, ATM or Debit Card Number, account number, and a unique U.S. email address in order to do so. For transfers initiated through Online Banking:
1. Log in to TD Online Banking
2. Select 'Send Money'.
3. Ensure your email address shown is correct.
4. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
5. If you sign up with your mobile number, select text or call to receive a verification code. If you sign up using your email we'll send you a verification code by email.
6. Enter the code to verify your email address or mobile number.
7. We'll show your accounts that are eligible for Instant Transfer. Just choose the one you wish to use.
For transfers initiated through the TD Bank app:
1. Tap 'Send Money' from the quick links or the transfers screen.
2. Log in to the TD app.
Then follow steps 3 to 7 as shown above.
It is very important to be sure that you have mobile notifications enabled for TD Bank.
If you sign up with your email and don't receive a verification code, please check your e-mail Spam folder.
If you experience difficulties utilizing Send Money, we recommend reaching out to a Tech Support Specialist 24/7 at 800-493-7562 so they may troubleshoot any issues directly.
Additionally, you may stop by your friend's financial institution directly to make a deposit into their account. You would simply need their account number and full name.
You may also send a wire transfer to your friend. In order to transfer money electronically to another financial institution within the United States, you may visit your nearest TD Bank Store to initiate an Outgoing Domestic or International Wire Transfer. You will need to provide the name, routing and account number of the recipient. The cut-off time for domestic wire transfers to be processed on the same banking day is 5:00pm.
If your friend happens to have a financial institution abroad, you have the option of sending an International Wire. To do so, you will need to provide the foreign bank our SWIFT address, which is NRTHUS33, as well as obtain their SWIFT address. You will also need to provide the name, routing and account numbers of the recipient.
Foreign Currency Wire Transfer requests received by the International Department by 1pm weekdays will be sent the same day. US Dollar Wire Transfer requests received by the International Department by 2:00pm weekdays will be sent the same day.
We utilize the services of correspondent and/or intermediary banks to transfer funds to banks overseas. These banks might charge a fee for their services, and the correspondent and/or intermediary bank might deduct these fees from the wire transfer amount. Please note that we do not process or disburse funds from wire transfers received designated Pay Upon Proper Identification (PUPID) and return them to the sender.
Keep in mind that there may be fees associated with the sending of a wire transfer. To learn more please visit here: https://go.td.com/2kFZ5mK.
