Thanks for sending us your question today, Andrea. We are happy to point you in the right direction.
To set up a Young Saver Savings account. You will need to visit your local TD Bank Store; during lobby hours and you will be listed as the custodian on this account. To find a TD Store location near you, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores. We also recommend taking a look at http://bit.ly/1pxm2Zo for more detailed information on this product type.
Please keep in mind that you will need to provide your Social Security number, a valid form of identification to open the account, such as a State License, State ID or Passport. Acceptable forms of identification for minors include a School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, US Birth Certificate or Social Security Card.
If you have a moment, please follow here: http://bit.ly/JfrZaG, you will find some tips for teaching your children about money and how to manage it.
As always, you can reach out to a Banking Specialist anytime 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000 if you have any questions prior or after the new account is set up.
We hope this information is helpful, Andrea. Best of luck to you and your son!
