Good day, Steve, and thanks for considering TD Bank for your banking needs!
If you are a Canadian resident and have a legal address there, you can visit http://bit.ly/1ishIab to begin an account with TD Bank in the United States. Please click on the Open a U.S. Account button on the right side. On the page which follows, additional information about the products we offer is available. Use the Open Account buttons to select your account and begin the application process.
You may also speak with a Representative from our TD Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 by calling 1-877-700-2913, who can also assist you in opening the account by phone.
When you are ready to open your new account, you will need to provide your name, street address, date of birth, Social Insurance number and valid identification to complete the account opening process. Please keep in mind that your Canadian consumer credit profile will also be used to verify your identity.
Just in case that you also have an account with TD Canada Trust, you may want to take advantage of our Cross Border Banking service. You can transfer funds between your TD Bank US and TD Canada Trust accounts, free of charge. If you wish to, please feel free to speak with a Representative from our TD Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 at the number listed above. With this feature, you are able to do your banking without having to visit a TD Store! For more information, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1ienPN4.
We encourage you to take a look at different accounts that can fit your needs. For a customized recommendation with our Checking Selector, answer the questions provided here: http://bit.ly/KmmHe7.
If you happen to not have an account with our partners up in TD Canada Trust, we recommend connecting with our Specialists at the number listed above to explore a variety of deposit options, such as Bank-by-Mail, etc., so you would be able to make your deposits without having to visit a Store.
Thanks again for coming to TD Helps today, Steve. We'll see you in the states on your next visit!
