Hi Chantae, we're happy to have you visit us on TD Helps today.
Thanks for considering TD Bank for your banking needs. Here at TD Bank, we offer many different types of Checking and Savings accounts which can be opened online. To view and compare savings account products, click on http://bit.ly/1g5vhXQ, or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best Savings account for your needs.
Once you've decided the type of the account you wish to open, you may click onto the orange "Open Account" button. You may also feel free to call us directly 24/7 at 888-751-9000 with any questions you may have and set up your new account via telephone.
As always, you are welcome to stop by your nearest TD Bank Store to speak with a Representative regarding new account options to determine what product type fits you the best. To find out TD Store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
You do have the option of wire transfers with a personal account. To send a wire transfer, you'd want to visit your local TD Bank Store with the following information: Name, address and ABA routing number of the receiving bank, Name of the account to be credited, Beneficiary address, account number. Additionally with wire transfers, you can even send money to someone outside the U.S. All you need to send an international wire is to provide the following information:
- The full name, address, including city, state/province, and country and account number of the person/business (for Euro Zone countries – IBAN – International Banking Account Number you are sending money to. - The full name and address, including city, state/province and country of the financial institution receiving the funds. - The amount and currency of the transfer.
We recommend checking with the other financial institution to ensure no other additional information is required. When sending or receiving a wire transfer, fees may apply regardless of the currency sent.
Alternatively, we have some options available to make transfers as listed here: http://bit.ly/1jXKYqq. Please note, in order to be eligible to use our External Transfer service and our Person-to-Person Payment feature, you must have a United States address, a unique United States phone number, a United States issued Social Security number and a valid unique email address. You must also be enrolled for Online Banking and be using a TD Bank Checking or Money Market account for the transfer.
The first option we have would be External Transfers. External Transfers are used if you're sending money from your personal account with TD Bank to your account at another Financial Institution. To use this service you would have to be enrolled in Online Banking. If you're not already enrolled, please click here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, debit card number and email address to get started. Once you're enrolled, you can initiate the transfer by using the "Transfers" tab. After selecting the "Transfers" tab you will then have to click "Transfer to Accounts Outside TD Bank." You would have to add your account at a different institution. To do so, select "Add a New Account." You will then be prompted to select the type of account followed by the account and routing numbers. Once you enter the required fields, the transfer service will then display whether or not you can make an immediate transfer. In some cases, a trial deposit is initiated at the receiving institution for verification purposes.
Another option we have available to you is Person-to-Person Payments. With this option you are able to send money from your personal account with TD Bank to someone else's account at another Financial Institution. This feature is also available via Online Banking. When you're logged it, you may click on the tab at the top of the page titled "Person-to-Person Payments." You will then be asked to accept a user agreement, review the fee schedule and confirm your email and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and email address we have on file for you. Next we will request you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process. Once the enrollment is complete you’ll be ready to send the payment!
External transfers and Person-to-Person Payments can only be conducted to or from a U.S. account in U.S. currency only. They can only be made from an Eligible Transaction Account: for example, personal checking, money market or savings accounts are usually allowed, with you as a signer on the account.
For the Terms and Conditions in addition to information on the payment methods and amounts, please check http://bit.ly/1pADlWD. If you have any difficulties, please contact our Tech Support for assistance 24/7 at 800-493-7562. We recommend checking with the other Financial Institution to ensure no other additional information is required.
Please note there may be fees associated with the different types of transfers TD Bank offers, for more details, you may view our Personal fees schedule here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
Have a delightful day!
