Thank you for considering TD for you banking needs, Viviana!
Although there is no set amount that you need to open an account with us, some accounts do require a daily minimum balance to avoid a monthly maintenance fee. To view and compare our Checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help with selecting a Checking account that is the best fit you. We also offer a variety of Savings accounts that you may view here http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT for more detailed information. You may find it helpful to check out our customized Savings Selector tool, found here: http://bit.ly/1sxY9Rd.
Once you decide on the account type that best suits your needs, you can open the account via online, telephone or at any TD Bank location during lobby hours. To open the account via online, click on the "Open Account" button below the account you choose and fill in the required fields. To get started, you'll need the following: Your Social Security number and ID (driver's license, State ID, or Passport).
To make a first deposit online, you may use a debit card linked to an account from another financial institution, a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or you can stop by your local TD Store to make a deposit.
You may also visit us at any TD Store to open the account. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank Store near you.
If you prefer to open it over the phone, please call Customer Service at 1-888-751-9000, available 24/7, and we will be happy to help you open the account. Once the account is opened, you will have 30 business days to make your first deposit.
We hope this helps, Viviana and thank you again for considering TD!
