I originally opened my TD account in Canada as a cross-border account. I don't have cheques issued through my account -- are either of these things causing the problem?

Thanks for joining us, Kristen, and we're glad you came to TD Helps with your question.
We recommend contacting the merchant you are paying your bill to immediately so you can update the routing number you've provided. Your transaction will continue to not process if the information is incorrect. If you do not recall your routing number, you can review them by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1cmRPoF . Please note, the routing number you must use would be the number that goes with the State in which you opening your account.
Since you mentioned you opened a Cross Border Banking account, we would recommend getting in touch with a Specialist directly. You may reach our Cross Border Banking Support Line any time of the day or night, 365 days a year by dialing 877-700-2913. Just in case you would like to view further information on this service please check out: http://bit.ly/1ishIab.
We hope this helps, Kristen, and have a great weekend.
