Welcome to TD Helps, Trevor. We'd be happy to point you in the right direction.
You can roll it over into one of our traditional retirement IRAs for a safe way to earn interest with no risk. You can take a look here for some helpful information to consider: http://bit.ly/1soncUL. Also, we encourage you to visit: http://bit.ly/1u2of1Y for details about the IRAs which are offered through TD Bank, including Savings and Term Deposit IRAs. Additionally, you can check out a list of our Frequently Asked IRA Questions here: http://bit.ly/1j4SCQq. Please feel free to call our IRA Department at 800-231-8193 Option 4 with any questions. They're available M-F 8am – 6pm EST & Sat 9am – 1:30pm EST.
The second way you could rollover your current 401(k) is into one of our IRA plans through our partners at TD Ameritrade. This would be a similar process, but could allow for more flexibility in structuring your retirement funds at a risk level you are comfortable with. For more information about our TD Ameritrade accounts and services, please view your available options here: http://bit.ly/1uwjOqD. And, for information specifically pertaining to your 401(k) rollover including step-by-step instructions, please see here: http://bit.ly/1uvyvQR. For questions or concerns, you can reach out to a Retirement Consultant 24/7 at 800-213-4583.
As your concerns in refrence to withdrawals/taxes apply to your account specifically, we recommend speaking with your tax consultant directly. Please know that we would like to assist you directly, however we do not have access to the specifics of your 401(k) or personal information as TD Helps is considred an unsecure forum.
Check out: http://bit.ly/1mD87iu for more details, and to compare the IRA's that we offer!
We hope this helps, Trevor and have a good day.
