Welcome to TD Helps, Vicky. We are happy to point you in the right direction today.
We are happy to inform you that with our Person-to-Person payment feature, you are now able to send money from your TD Bank account to anyone within the US, whether they are a TD Customer or they bank with another Financial Institution. For more information on this feature, please check out: http://bit.ly/1h4ZIkL. We also invite you to check out: http://bit.ly/1lkiC6K for details on our Transfers Terms and Conditions.
To begin using this feature, you must first log onto your TD Online Banking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. If you are not currently enrolled for Online Banking for your personal accounts, no worries! We have you covered. You may use our self-service option by visiting http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to begin the enrollment process. In order to do so, you will need your account number, TD Bank ATM/Debit Card, your Social Security number and your email address. When you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
Just in case you do not have the required information to set up Online Banking, or if you need assistance with enrolling or a transfer, you may contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to speak with a Banking Specialist.
Once you have enrolled or after you log in, you may click on the tab at the top of the page titled "Person-to-Person Payments." You will then be asked to accept a user agreement, review the Fee schedule and confirm your email and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and email address we have on file for you. Next we will request you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process. Once the enrollment is complete you’ll be ready to send the payment!
When sending a transfer, you will have two delivery options, three day or next day delivery. To qualify for the next day delivery option, you must wait 90 days from your first successful 3-day transfer and must not have had any transactions that overdrew your account in the past 90 days. Please note, fees may apply for the Transfer service.
If you need assistance with a transfer, you may contact us 24/7 at 800-493-7562 to speak with a Tech Support Specialist. Upon proper account verification, we would be happy to help!
As mentioned in our Transfers Terms and Conditions that there are limits to these transfers, if the amount you are transferring exceeds your limit, no worries, there are other options available to you. You may wish to deposit the funds right into your son's account or you may wish to visit your local TD Store to initiate a wire transfer. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find the TD Bank location closest to you.
As you will be sending a domestic wire into your son's account, you will need to provide the name, address and ABA routing number of the receiving bank, the name of the account to be credited, the beneficiary address and the account number.
Please keep in mind that there are fees associated with these types of transfers mentioned and for more information on the Fee Schedule, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
We hope this helps Vicky, and take care!
