Thanks for your question, Peter. Though we're sorry to hear that you'd like to close your savings account, we understand that banking needs change.
Please know that TD Helps is considered an unsecured forum. Because of this, we do not have access to your account/personal information to assist you directly. Don't worry though, we have other options for you.
As you mentioned that you've transferred the funds from your savings account to your checking, you are able to call us or send us a secure message to close your account. Feel free to call our 24/7 Banking Specialists by dialing 888-751-9000. After account verification, our Representatives will be glad to finalize the account for you.
Similarly, you are able to send us a secure message via Online Banking to close your account. To send a secure message, please log on to your account by visiting www.tdbank.com. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." Be sure to include the account number that you would like to close.
