As a TD Bank Customer, you will have the ability to transfer funds from your TD account to anyone within the US, whether they are a TD Customer or with another Financial Institution using the feature called Person-to-Person Payments. This service is used via your TD Online Banking. For more information, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cz3aim.
To use the Person-to-Person transfer feature, you must be enrolled in Online Banking. If you have not enrolled yourself, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, your TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number, and your e-mail address. If you do not have a debit or ATM card, please call our 24/7 Specialists at 888-751-9000 to enroll. Once you’ve enrolled for Online Banking or after you log in: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq, please click on the tab at the top of the page titled "Person-to-Person Payments." You will then be asked to accept a user agreement, review the fee schedule and confirm your email and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and email address we have on file for you. Next we will request you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process. Once the enrollment is complete you’ll be ready to send the payment!
The Person to Person feature provides several delivery options; you can choose between 1 day delivery and 3 day delivery. Depending on the options selected fees may apply. Also, prior to submitting the transfer, you will be able to see the exact amount of the fee (if any) under the “Delivery Speed” section. Please note, in order to be eligible for "Next Day" delivery option, you must make a successful 3 day delivery within the last 90 calendar days. If you are looking to transfer funds to or from a family member and they are located outside the US, you may wish to initiate a wire transfer which can be done by visiting your local TD Store. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores for hours and locations near you.
To initiate a wire transfer to someone located outside of the United States, all you need to send an international wire is listed below:
- The full name, address, including city, state/province, and country and account number of the person/business (for Euro Zone countries – IBAN – International Banking Account Number you are sending money to.
- The full name and address, including city, state/province and country of the financial institution receiving the funds.
- The amount and currency of the transfer.
Also check with the other financial institution to make sure there is no additional information required.
