Thanks for choosing to visit us at TD Helps with your question, Diana.
Duplicate holds like this are not uncommon if you used your credit or debit card. It is most often due to the machine being unable to read your card, or an error transmitted when your card is swiped. Therefore, the card may have been swiped a second time and two authorizations get transmitted to us. Please be sure to monitor your account to ensure that the duplicate pending authorization will not post to your account.
If both transactions have posted to your account, to better assist you we recommend contacting one of our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000 so we may review this further with you. You may also visit any TD Bank for further assistance. For a listing of TD Bank Stores, please look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Additionally, if you are enrolled for online banking, you are more than welcome to send us a secure message by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq for additional assistance. Once you are logged into your online banking account, on the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." Once the message is sent, you should expect a response within 24 hours.
