rep informed me that they don't have that capability as of yet, but she suggested I contact you to see if it could be done from your end. My question is, can TD initiate a transfer from another bank to an account with them? I was speaking with a bank where I have a savings account. I asked if I could transfer money from that account to one we have with TD. The rep informed me that they don't have that capability as of yet, but she suggested I contact you to see if it could be done from your end. My question is, can TD initiate a transfer from another bank to an account with them?

Thanks for dropping by TD Helps, Jeanne. We'll be happy to provide the information that is needed to transfer funds.
You may review the options for an incoming wire transfer or an Account to Account transfer below.
A wire transfer may be initiated from the sending bank. We recommend contacting the sending bank for further instructions or requirements you may need to adhere to. TD Bank will be unable to initiate this transaction if we are the receiver.
For an Incoming Domestic Wire Transfer, it is necessary to provide the following information to any individual or financial institution wiring funds into your TD account:
1. Your account number
2. Your routing number (first 9 digits on the bottom of your checks)
3. Your account title, exactly as it appears on your account
There is a $15.00 fee for an Incoming Wire on consumer and business accounts.
TD Bank also offers Account to Account transfers to move funds to (and from) your account with another bank. To use External Transfers, you must have a profile in Online Banking with a U.S. address, a unique U.S. phone number, a Social Security Number, and a valid unique email address.
After you login to your online profile, choose the Transfers tab. This will bring you to the page where you may choose internal transfers between accounts at TD Bank, or the option to Begin the external transfers set up.
You will need to Enroll to use this service. Click on Enroll now.
On the page that appears- please review your contact information and read the Terms and Conditions. Once completed, you may click on the three boxes which:
1. Accepts the Terms and Conditions
2. Confirms that you are able to access the TD Bank Fee Schedule
3. Accepts possible contact with regard to transfers
Once completed, click on Accept and you may continue to schedule a transfer.
We hope you find our answers helpful and please don’t hesitate to return to TD Helps if you have any further questions.
