Thanks for visiting us at TD Helps with your questions, Keajah.
When a purchase is made with your debit card, the authorization comes through with an expiration date. That is the date by which the merchant intends to collect funds. If they haven't collected the funds by that date, we release the money back into the account. We'd be happy to take a look at the authorization from Match.com and let you know when you can expect the money back in your account. As TD Helps is considered an unsecure forum, we do not have access to your specific account information. Please give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at any of our Stores so we can look at your account. To find a Store near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
Should the merchant actually collect the funds and the transaction posts to your account, we recommend that you first request a refund from the merchant. If you're unsuccessful in receiving a refund, we can file a merchant dispute on your behalf by calling the number we provided above or visiting us at a Store.
In regard to your deposit hold, all check deposits must to go through verification. This generally takes place during overnight processing, making the funds available the following business day. Sometimes we do need to pull checks for additional verification. We encourage you to review pages 41 through 44 in the Personal Deposit Account Agreement for additional info about deposit availability. It can be found by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1kb17UQ. We'd be happy to take a look at your deposit and provide you with the date you can expect the funds to be released. Please give us a call or stop in to see us anytime.
We hope that this information has been helpful and we look forward to hearing from you soon. Have a wonderful day, Keajah.
