Welcome to TD Helps, Rochelle. We'd be happy to help.
We understand that sometimes individual banking needs change. We'd like to take the opportunity to share our Savings Selector Tool that can be viewed here: http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM. It may help choose a better Savings account to fit your needs now that your balance won't be as large. We also recommend taking a look at our Finance 101 page that can be found here: http://bit.ly/1dHULN9. The page has great tips for saving on a variety of budgets that may help you in the future.
If you still wish to close your account, you may visit a TD Store during lobby hours, give us a call 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 or send a secure message via Online Banking.
In order to send a secure message you must first be enrolled in Online Banking and to start the process, please visit here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Keep in mind that you will need your account number, ATM/Visa Debit Card number and email address. Once enrolled, you may send a secure message by selecting "Send a secure message" located on the left hand side of the page, beneath "Message Center." Since this message will be sent securely to us through your Online Banking, no email address is required. Please note that your account must be at a zero balance in order to close it via secure message and over the telephone.
We hope this helps, Rochelle and have a good afternoon.
