Good to see you on TD Helps, Jerry! We'll be glad to provide the ways that you can check your loan balance and receive a payoff amount.
One of the easiest ways to check the balance of your loan and the payoff amount is to call our 24/7 Financial Solutions Group at 800-937-5020 or you can stop by any TD Bank location during lobby hours. Click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a Store near you.
You may also obtain your payoff amount via fax. If you're paying off your loan through another institution, and the payoff request is being sent by a third party, then please have them fax the request to: 207-755-4245. The request must be made on their letterhead and must also be accompanied with a signed consent form with you authorizing us to release the information to the third party. Please both print and sign your name for confirmation on the release form. We will respond and fax back with the information within 24 hours of receiving the request.
Another way to check your loan balance and request a payoff is to use Online Banking. If you already have Online Banking, you may request to add your TD Bank loan to be viewed alongside your other accounts. If you're not already enrolled with Online Banking and have an ATM/Debit Card and your Social Security number, you may fill out the online application to access your personal account(s). Please visit http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to enroll for TD Bank Online Banking. If you only have this loan with us or do not have an ATM/Visa debit card, you may contact a Tech Support Specialist 24/7 directly at 800-493-7562 for assistance with enrollment. This will allow you to view your loan balance and payment information at your convenience.
Once you are using our online services, you also have the option to send a Secure Message with any loan inquiry you may have. After logging in, you can visit the Customer Service tab, and then choose the Send a Message link and we will be happy to respond.
We hope this information is useful to you and please let us know if you have any questions, Jerry! Take care and have a good week.

For online banking, shouldn't one of the top things one can do is merge accounts and a simpler way to view a loan balance? I logged on and there was not a link to merge accounts or view my personal loan alongside my main account.

Thanks for your reply, Johnny. We'll be sure to guide you in the right direction today in regard to adding your new loan to online banking.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We're happy to take your suggestion away and consider this as we make future updates to our systems and services.
If your loan account was recently opened, please note that these types of accounts in particular usually become available to view online automatically within 10-14 business days after opening.
However, if it's not available for viewing no matter what the reason, we can usually troubleshoot this issue quickly and easily for you. If this is the case, please contact a Specialist from our Financial Solutions Group. They are available 24/7 at 800-937-5020. A Representative will be more than happy to take a look into your online banking profile, and add your loan account.
If you'll be in the area of a TD Store, we also invite you stop in for assistance, and please see: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc to find a location nearby you.
We hope this helps, Johnny. Have a great day!
