Hi Jasmise and thanks for connecting with us on TD Helps.
We're sorry to hear you're looking to close your account and we'd hate to see you go. Please know your feedback is important to us and we invite you to share yours with us by calling us 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
If you'd like to close your account, once the account has a zero ($0) balance, we ask that you contact us at the number listed above to speak with a Banking Specialist. After account verification we will be able to put in a request to close the account.
You can also send us a Secure Message via your Online Banking. If you have not enrolled, you can do so for free by following this link: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, Social Security number, your email address and your current TD ATM/Debit card. If you run into any problems enrolling or if you do not have a TD ATM/Debit card to enroll online, please give us a call. Once you've successfully enrolled and after you log onto your Online Banking, on the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center."
Another option would be requesting your account to be closed by mail. Please mail your written, signed, and notarized request to your Home Store. Please note, your Home Store is the location where your account was opened. For a listing of our Stores please view: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Hope you have a very nice day.
