I would like to create a TDBank account so I can contact TD Bank with a secure message. However, it requires an account number, which I don't have. I only have a TD Bank Visa Debit. How can I make an account if I don't have an account number?

Welcome to TD Helps, Kate, we'll be happy to help!
Please know that your debit card would be linked to an account. Your debit card and account number are two separate sets of numbers. There are several ways available for you to locate your checking account number. The first way is to check the top right hand side of your paper statement. In addition, if you have your checkbook handy, the second set of numbers is your account number.
In order to set up your TD Bank Online Banking account using our Self-Service link at http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY, you will need your account number, your Social Security Number, email address and either a TD Bank ATM or Visa Debit Card number.
If you don't have your debit card, or account number available right now, don't worry! You're more than welcome to call us at 888-751-9000, where a Banking Specialist can enroll your account for you over the phone upon proper account verification. For your convenience, we are available 24/7.
You may also visit your local TD Bank Store for assistance. Please be sure to bring a valid form of identification. To find a Store near you, as well as the hours, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We hope this helps, Kate, take care!
