Thanks for writing in, Carin. We are happy to provide you details on how to create an automatic transfer.
If you're looking to transfer funds from your TD Bank account to an account with your name on it at another financial institution, you're welcome to create this by completing an External Transfer. To do so, once you're logged in to your Online Banking on www.tdbank.com please click on the Transfer tab and then select Transfer to Accounts Outside TD Bank. You may then add the account that you're looking to transfer funds to and follow the prompts to create a recurring, weekly payment. Please note when initiating an External Transfer, you can decide whether you want to set it up as a 3 business day transfer or 1 business day transfer (this option becomes available 90 days after your first successful 3 day transfer is completed, given that your account balance does not become negative during that time period).
Alternatively, if you're transferring funds from your TD Bank account to someone else's account at another financial institution then you may do so by completing a Person-to-Person payment. While logged into your Online Banking please click on the Person-to-Person Payments tab and follow the prompts to create a weekly, recurring payment. Again, when initiating a Person-to-Person, you can decide whether you want to set it up as a 3 business day transfer or 1 business day transfer (this option becomes available 90 days after your first successful 3 day transfer is completed, given that your account balance does not become negative during that time period).
We hope this information helps, and we invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1pADlWD for the Terms & Conditions for our external transfer options. This can provide some valuable information regarding these services. If you'd like, you may contact our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to review this further.
We hope this helps, Carin and please let us know if we can assist again.
